globalizacija statusas T sritis Politika apibrėžtis Žmonių ir visuomenių ryšių, pirmiausia ekonominių, intensyvėjimas ir plėtra, dėl kurių sparčiai didėja tarpusavio priklausomybė, valstybių ir jų sienų reikšmė mažėja, pasaulis darosi vis vientisesnis. Šiuolaikinės didžiosios verslo įmonės – tarptautinės korporacijos – veikia ne vienoje, bet daugelyje pasaulio šalių; sukuriamos kultūros vertybės internetu ir kitomis priemonėmis daromos lengvai prieinamos didžiulėms auditorijoms. Šiuolaikinės karinės pajėgos gali aptikti ir sunaikinti už tūkstančių km esančius priešus ir t. t. Pasaulio „mažėjimas“ didina valstybių tarpusavio priklausomybę ir formuoja naują, daug bendrų interesų turinčią pasaulio bendruomenę. Greta teigiamų dalykų, globalizacijos kritikai pabrėžia ir neigiamus, juos apibendrintai galima vadinti pasaulio vienodėjimu. Pasak kritikų, dėl pasaulio vienodėjimo prarandama įvairovė ir gyvybingumas.
